new beginnings. 2024 updates for the newsletter.

From our first Anxious Achievers Club email in 2021, we've journeyed through 68 Friday mornings together, diving into discussions about high functioning anxiety, therapy, cultivating healthy habits, and everything in between that I'm eager to continue sharing with you.

The power and purpose of the newsletter has always been to connect with other anxious achievers. It’s that simple. My goal is to connect with you, with yall, so we don’t feel alone. Struggling with anxious feelings can feel incredibly overwhelming and isolating. Struggling with anxious feelings as a high performer/achiever is a totally different beast. Together we’ve deconstructed negative thoughts and developed healthy habits and mindsets to cope with difficult feelings, live intentionally, and shift our perspective. My hope is always that you’ll feel understood, supported, and seen. In the Club, everyone belongs.

In 2023, I only wrote to you a handful of times. In the past, I'd show up like clockwork in your inbox every Friday morning, armed with an abundance of words to share. I had a sweet baby girl in March, and I knew that for my business, my clinical caseload, and my writing and creating things would look different than they had in the past. At 39 weeks pregnant, I made the decision to delete TikTok entirely, even after posting consistently for a year and accumulating a following of over 50K followers. What was initially intended as a 10-week maternity leave ended up being just a brief span of three weeks. I quickly found myself immersing back into my entrepreneurial duties at Atlanta Wellness Collective and my "passion" projects, such as the newsletter, were on hold. I didn’t expect to be gone so long. I don’t regret it at all. But I didn’t expect it.

So what’s coming up

My purpose with the Anxious Achievers Club remains the same. We'll continue to meet weekly together to deconstruct and develop healthy habits and mindsets to cope with difficult feelings. You'll feel understood, supported, and seen. I hope. You can still expect weekly inspiration, tips + tools, support, journal prompts, encouragement, mental health resources, and ways to develop sustainable high performance habits without the stress. All of this will continue. You can still expect “I'm not alone” moments and relatable pep-talks. However, I’m adding new, exclusive topics to The Club for 2024.

We’ll discuss more mental health topics like:

  • overcoming perfectionism

  • self-esteem and self-worth

  • embracing a growth mindset

  • creating systems (in life and work) to reduce stress and anxiety

  • tips for delegating

  • creating daily rhythms and life systems
